Super Saiyan Blue was the ceiling — until Dragon Ball kept building past it. These are the 7 Dragon Ball transformations that rival or surpass SSB, ranked weakest to strongest.
Quick Answer
Seven Dragon Ball transformations that rival or surpass Super Saiyan Blue, weakest to strongest: SSB Kaio-ken, SSB Evolution, Super Saiyan Rosé, Beast, Ultra Ego, Ultra Instinct Sign, and Mastered Ultra Instinct. Blue was Goku and Vegeta’s god-ki standard — every form here either matches it, answers it, or leaves it behind.
The Full Ranking
| Rank | Transformation | User |
|---|---|---|
| 7 | SSB Kaio-ken | Goku |
| 6 | SSB Evolution | Vegeta |
| 5 | Super Saiyan Rosé | Goku Black |
| 4 | Beast | Gohan |
| 3 | Ultra Ego | Vegeta |
| 2 | Ultra Instinct Sign | Goku |
| 1 | Mastered Ultra Instinct | Goku |
7. SSB Kaio-ken
Goku stacking the ancient Kaio-ken on god ki — the multiplier that let Blue punch above its weight against Hit.
6. SSB Evolution
Vegeta’s answer to Kaio-ken: Blue pushed past its limits through sheer pride, matching SSB Kaio-ken x20 against Toppo.
5. Super Saiyan Rosé
Goku Black’s divine Super Saiyan — the same god ki as Blue, worn by a god in Goku’s body. Proof Blue was never exclusive to the heroes.
4. Beast
Gohan’s answer to everything: a primal, tower-spire-haired form that took down Cell Max where Blue-level fighters struggled. The form that made Gohan relevant again.
3. Ultra Ego
Vegeta’s destroyer form — power that grows as he takes damage. The philosophical opposite of Ultra Instinct, and Blue’s true successor for the prince.
2. Ultra Instinct Sign
The incomplete omen: silver eyes, no silver hair, and enough to push Jiren. Even unfinished, it outclassed Blue completely.
1. Mastered Ultra Instinct
The completed technique of the gods — silver hair, an autonomous body, and the form that finally toppled Jiren. Blue’s ceiling, shattered.
